Since it was founded in 1969, Otsuka Kagu, Ltd. has operated as a comprehensive interior
store, fulfilling its mission of providing customers with better living environments.
The primary characteristic of IDC Otsuka Kagu is that it has achieved its ideal, namely
providing fine products from around the world at reasonable prices through a unique system
available to all customers, who receive helpful advice from expertise advisors seeking to offer
total interior solutions.
At the base of this ideal lies a respect for craftsmanship, inherited from the Company’s
predecessor, renowned as master manufacturer of all-paulownia chests of drawers, a traditional
craft product. This is combined with our eagerness to provide the results of our craftsmanship
to as many customers as possible. Since our foundation, we have consistently sought
to build an effective distribution mechanism and to provide our customers with superior
products from across Japan and around the world.
Our showrooms are places where we meet customers seeking superior living spaces. IDC
Otsuka Ariake Head Office Showroom, the largest furniture and interior specialty showrooms
in Japan, which opened in the new Tokyo Bay Urban Subcenter in 1996, and its nationwide
network of large stores that was developed subsequently, have earned high marks in Japan and
abroad for their ability to convey product strengths, ideas, suggestions, and prices.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the opening of Ariake Head Office Showroom. We view this occasion as an opportunity to bolster the comprehensive capabilities we have developed over our history, and to renew our commitment to continue to convey our true value and offer maximum satisfaction to as many customers as possible.
We plan to continue to expand our operations as a leading total interior company. We hope
that we can count on the continued support and guidance of all our stakeholders as we pursue
this initiative.
